We embraced the unconventional. Asymmetric cuts, crumpled textures, and a touch of the audacious – we weren't afraid to experiment with our designs. We juxtaposed these bold statements with luxurious yarns and a muted color palette. It was a leap of faith, venturing where no other shop dared.

The raised eyebrows from established retailers and fashion writers were a badge of honor – we knew we were striking a chord. Unbound by convention, we bought based on instinct and reveled in creative freedom. Interestingly, the wilder styles became our bestsellers, leaving the "safer" choices on the racks. This customer response solidified our philosophy: Fashion should be exciting, not formulaic.

In 2004, we took a leap of faith and launched our online store. What began as a gamble soon connected us with a global community of discerning, creative women who shared our passion for distinctive fashion.

Walkers has a new home. After more than 35 years in the UK, Anne and the Walkers operation have moved to Lagos, Portugal.

From our showroom and warehouse at Laco Hub, we continue to source and ship distinctive, high-end independent fashion to our customers around the world.

The move to Portugal feels like a natural progression for Walkers. Portugal has a long tradition of craftsmanship and is home to some of Europe's finest clothing manufacturers, yet there is a wonderfully understated quality to the way that expertise is expressed.

The location may have changed, but our philosophy remains the same – buying clothes with individuality, trusting our instincts and helping women find pieces that make them feel great.
